Description: Very rare. Red, dodecahedral crystals with a deceptively garnet-like appearance. The crystals are distributed unevenly sprinkled on the associated minerals, as individual crystals or more rarely as aggregates of intergrown crystals forming a crust. The colour may vary from brownish red to deep red and blackish red. Some crystals exhibit a zoned band of darker colour in the centre. The only crystal form observed is the dodecahedron {110}. (Larsen & Kolitsch 2012)

Description: In July 2009 a considerable amount of behoite samples were collected in a pegmatite at level 1. Most crystals are twinned, and crystals up to 4 mm were found. Some crystals are slightly etched. Behoite have been found in other pegmatites after 2009 and in good number of samples in these pegmatites. But pegmatites with behoite is not often occurring.

Formula: Na(CaNa)(Mg3Al2)(Al2Si6O22)(OH)2
Description: Piilonen et al. (2012) list taramite as a mineral found in Bratthagen-type pegmatites (Bratthagen I; Bratthagen II and Lysebo). The text, however does not reveal from which of these three localities taramite were verified. Given the geological environment ( alkaline intrusives), any taramite root name group mineral would probably be ferro/ferri dominant, which is also indicated by the association with hastingsite/ferro-pargasite.
