The Skutesundskjær locality consists of 2 small skerries about 30 x 20 m and 40 x 20 m large. It is the type locality of rosenbuschite. Since 1973, the skerries are protected as a natural heritage (site of geological interest) and collecting or removal of mineral materials from the islands is strictly forbidden. (Cf. the laws of 1970-06-19-63-§11 and §12 cf. Law -2009-06-19-100-§77).
