About MoonstoneHide

Name:
Derived from the stone's characteristic visual effect, called adularescence (or schiller), which produces a milky, bluish interior light.
A trade name for any white feldspar with a blue schiller.
Commonly microcline, rarely orthoclase, and the plagioclase series. Also includes albite with its variety peristerite.
Antiperthite and anorthoclase may also show schiller.
