Chamosite is found regularly in rocks that have manganese minerals like todorokite. It forms greenish-brownish yellow irregular spherical and worm-like aggregates; also massive.
Both the EDX and the XRD results were a good match with standard chamosite. |

The PXRD of this material differs from that of ellingsenite, but shows to be very close to the PXRD of kodamaite. FYI: it is impossible to distinguish visually between ellingsite and this supposedly kodamaite.
Since the article has this mineral as "Kodamait (?)", the question mark has been kept on Mindat. |

However, Blaß et al. (2021, p. 26-27) have no photos but state: this mineral has now been identified by EDX and PXRD. The mineral has been found as very thin, yellowish-brown, tabular crystals.
