Échassières (French pronunciation: ​[eʃasjɛʁ]; Occitan: Eschaseiras) is a commune in the Allier department in central France. The river Bouble forms most of the commune's northwestern border.

Granite massif ('massif des Colettes') E and NE of Echassières with three highly evolved granites (Beauvoir granite, Colettes granite and La Bosse granite) and associated greisen (some with Sn), pegmatites, hydrothermal veins (mainly W) and kaolinisation.
Several mostly abandoned quarries and workings on mineralised veins.

Some of the mineralisations were already exploited during Gallo-Roman times.
