Closed gold mine.
High-sulfidation epithermal gold deposit.
Mineralisations are concentrated along tectonic structures where hydrothermal alteration is more intense. The mineral assemblage consists of Fe-Cu-As-Sb sulphides and sulphosalts (enargite-luzonite-pyrite-tetrahedrite-tennantite).
Note: It is worth understanding that after the closure of the mine a lot of environmental and safety issues arose because of the peculiarity of the post-mining treatment procedures of the bulk ore. Lots of news, mostly in Italian, can be found on the web.
