An LCT-type granitic pegmatite (https://www.mindat.org/min-56056.html), known for an exceptional abundance of phosphate minerals containing lithium, manganese, iron, and beryllium. It is the type locality of the Mn-Be phosphate väyrynenite and of viitaniemiite.

Note on the mineral list: Crystals sold as tapiolite-(Mn) have been shown by analysis (XRD & microprobe) to be "pseudotetragonal" tantalite-(Mn) (Info by Ilkka Mikkola 19/10/2011).
