Østfold is a county in Eastern Norway, which borders the county of Akershus and southwestern Sweden (Västra Götaland County and Värmland). On 1 January 2020, Østfold was merged with Akershus and Buskerud into the newly created Viken County. On 1 January 2024, Viken was disestablished and the counties of Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold were re-established.
