Name:
Named by Wilhelm Haidinger in 1845 in honor of William Hallowes Miller [April 6, 1801, Velindre, Wales, UK - May 20, 1880, Cambridge, England, UK], professor at the University of Cambridge, who first studied the crystals. He wrote 'A Treatise on Crystallography'. Miller indices are also named after him.

Commonly found as radiating and jackstraw clusters of shiny metallic acicular crystals, pale brass-yellow with an iridescent tarnish.
