To define this region, we extend a line from Port Noarlunga (on Coast of Gulf St. Vincent) to the inlet of Currency Creek, then following the bank of the creek as it enters in to the Murray River system, then continuing along the western side of the Murray River to Goolwa (this includes the Sir Richard Peninsula).
All localities from here to Cape Jervis (West of line) are considered to be on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Important Note:
McLaren Vale, and Mt. Magnificent, are all listed in the South Mt. Lofty Ranges, not Fleurieu Peninsula.

Pedler Creek, Willunga, Willunga Hill and Mt. Compass are all listed in Fleurieu Peninsula, not South Mt. Lofty Ranges
