Kingsbury from the Meldon aplite are amblygonite, beryllonite, brandtite, chrysoberyl, danburite, euclase, eucryptite, eudidymite, leucophanite, milarite, priceite, rhodizite, and spodumene. However, milarite was later confirmed (Peter Edwards collection, analysis by Peter Tandy at NHM London).

Description: Kingsbury, A.W.G. (1964) in Mineralogical Magazine 35, lviii states: "Colourless isolated crystals (2cm) from a pegmatite vein in the old aplite quarry at Meldon, Okehampton, Devon". However, von Knorring, O. and Condliffe, E. (1984): On the occurrence of niobium-tantalum and other rare-element minerals in the Meldon aplite, Devonshire. Mineralogical Magazine 48, 443-448, states "Beryllonite occurs in whitish grains some 2 mm across and is mostly enclosed in elbaite with some lepidolite and quartz. It is fibrous and silky in appearance and is closely associated with pollucite, orthoclase, petalite, and lepidolite." 2cm vs. 2mm... Size is irrelevant. Only reports are from Kingsbury and not to be believed.
