About Rubellite

Name:
A commercial name derived from the Latin 'rubellus' (reddish) and the Greek 'lithos' (stone).
A red/pinkish gemmy Li-rich and more or less (Fe+Mg)-free variety of tourmaline (primarily elbaite or fluor-elbaite, but may also be olenite or liddicoatite).
