Name:
First named Bitikleite-(SnFe), but according to the new nomenclature of the garnet supergroup (Grew et al. 2013) suffixes should not be used in naming minerals in the garnet supergroup. The name was changed to dzhuluite, after the Dzhulu Mountain near the type locality.
An antimony garnet of the bitikleite-group. Fourth Sb-dominant garnet after bitikleite, usturite and monteneveite. A Sn-Fe3+3-analogue of the latter.
A product of high temperature fluorine metasomatism during a retrograde stage of primary rock alteration in the larnite subfacies (sanidinite facies).
