About Perovskite Supergroup

Generally ABX3 compounds, with A = A site, B = B site and X = O, F, Cl, but also OH, As.
Name:
The supergroup has its name after most common and first described mineral in the supergroup.
The structural Perovskite Supergroup was established and approved by IMA in 2016. It is defined by Mitchell et al. (2017) as those minerals whose structures consist of three-dimensional networks of corner-sharing octahedra and which adopt the aristotypic ABX3 perovskite structure or those of its derivatives. It consist of cubic to pseudocubic simple AXO3 oxides.
It is divided in two major groups: Stoichiometric Perovskites Group (with a ABX3 stoichiometry) and Non-stoichiometric Perovskites (with A2BB'X6 stoichiometry.
The non-stochiometric perovskites also includes hydroxide- and arsenide-based minerals (also known as defect perovskites, characterized by A- and/or B-site vacancies together with the anion-deficient minerals of the brownmillerite subgroup and hematophanite subgroup).
Several members are technologically very important ferroelectrics.
There is also a further division with subgroups and potential subgroups proposed; this nomenclature connects some species that are not necessarily similar in terms of chemistry alone:
