A group of simple metal hydroxides with the above general formula, where M = Fe, In, Ga. Newly defined (Mitchell et al., 2017) as A-site vacant double hydroxide perovskites (one of 3 groups defined this way).
Bernalite may be stabilised by very small amounts of six-coordinated Si.
