About Schoenfliesite SubgroupHide

Cubic stannates of the general formula indicated above. The members of this group contain a hexahydroxostannate(IV) anion.

According to the new nomenclature (Mitchell et al., 2017), this a subgroup of perovskites, defined as A-site vacant double hydroxide perovskites (together with Söhngeite Subgroup and Stottite Subgroup).

Compare the tetragonal minerals of the Stottite Subgroup.
