Name:
Named in honor of after Li Guowu (李国武) (1964–), China University of Geosciences, Beijing, China, in recognition of his great contributions to new mineral research, including tewite and wumuite from the area of the type locality.
Known synthetic analogue. Perovskite-type structure.

The first example of A-site vacant single oxide, thus formulating a new perovskite subgroup.

The structure is based on corner-sharing, distorted and tilted WO6 octahedra, with the W atoms being off-center.

Anhydrous counterpart of tungstite and hydrotungstite.

Prismatic crystals, 0.05 to 0.1 mm in diameter; triclinic pseudomorphism is known, due to the presence of "nanoparticles with many cracks and nanovoids".
