都龙锡锌矿, 都龙锡锌矿田, 马关县, 文山壮族苗族自治州, 云南省, 中国
Tin-zinc mineralization in a pyrrhotite skarn zone within a mid-Cambrian metamorphic sequence of schists and marbles adjacent to and overlying parts of a granitic stock.
Located about 25 km SE of Maguan, close to the Vietnamese border.
Dulong is China's third largest deposit of cassiterite-sulfide type.
The largest In-rich skarn-type deposit in mining in China. It contains approximately 7.0 kt In, as well as 0.40 Mt Sn, 4.0 Mt Zn, 0.20 Mt Cu, and minor Pb, Ag, and Cd.
The deposit is composed of the Huashitou, Tongjie, Manjiazhai, Laizizhai, Wukoutong, and Nandangchang ore sections from north to south over a distance of 6km.
Among them, the Tongjie-Manjiazhai section contains predominant reserves of Sn, Zn and In. There are seven main orebodies in this area, namely No. 1, No. 13, No. 24, No. 29, No. 31, No. 32 and No. 62 orebodies which collectively account for more than 80 % of the total reserves across all ore sections. These orebodies are primarily hosted within the Neoproterozoic Xinzhaiyan Formation and are controlled by the NW- to NS-trending Maguan–Dulong Fault along with a series of secondary NS-trending faults (F0, F1, F2). Skarnization widely developed in the orebodies, and skarn-hosted ores constitute the primary source of various ore minerals. Additionally, massive sulfide deposits also play a crucial role as a significant source of mineral resources.
Exposed strata is mainly composed of the Paleoproterozoic Mengdong Group metamorphic rocks, Neoproterozoic Xinzhaiyan Formation metamorphic rocks, Cambrian Tianpeng Formation. The Paleoproterozoic Mengdong Group is the oldest strata whose age was reported for 761–829 Ma. The Xinzhaiyan Formation constitutes the principal ore-bearing stratum, while the Tianpeng Formation, located to the west of the deposit, overlies the Xinzhaiyan Formation and predominantly consists of dolomite and limestone.
Four mineralization stages can be identified: stage 1 (prograde stage), stage 2 (retrograde stage), stage 3 (quartz-sulfide stage) and stage 4 (carbonate stage).
