Alkaline complex 1.5 km east of lake Vättern and 45 km NE of Jönköping. One of the world's oldest agpaitic complexes (1500 Ma). It is the type locality for the rock types Grännaite, Lakarpite, Kaxtorpite, and Pulaskite.

Elongate intrusion (1200 x 400 m) emplaced into heterogeneous Precambrian granite gneisses (Svecofennian) which are known collectively as the Växjö granite.

Description: The occurrence of anorthoclase was discredited by Tilley (1953). The feldspars in the fine-grained matrix of the grennaite were instead determined to be subsolvus alkali feldspars albite and microcline. This is also confirmed by SEM-EDS analysis (Sjöqvist et al., 2013).

Description: A pale reddish mineral that occurs as small rounded spots in grännite rock has been thought to be calciocatapleiite, but no analysis has confirmed this (Thulin 1996). A yellowish-white to yellowish brown mineral that occurs as 1-2 cm large spots, also in grännite, thougt to be calciocatapleiite by collectors, was analyzed by EDS-SEM, and was showed to be catapleiite (Thulin 2000). A catapleiite with purple-blue color labelled by some collctors as "Ca-catapleiite" or calciocatapleiite (Identity not verified) shows a vivid green color in both short and long wave UV.

Description: Staffan Karlsson reported corundum in 1997. Later XRD analysis by the same author determined that the mineral was in fact andradite. Adamson (1944, p.221) only mentions normative corundum based on the whole-rock chemical composition of a fenite sample. He has in fact not observed corundum, which is also stated in a letter from 1988.

Description: In the characterization of the holotype of eckermannite from Norra Kärr (Adamson, 1942), Li was not recognized (cfr Sundius 1945). The species was redefined by IMA in 2014 (IMA2013-136). Re-examination of the holotype material of the original sample analyzed by Törnebohm (1906) confirmed that they both are actually fluoro-leakeite.
