First described as a new mineral from Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada (Gu et al. 1994). Named for its relationship to britholite-(Ce) with the fluorine content.
A mineral in the Britholite Group of the Apatite Supergroup. The fluorine-dominant analogue of britholite-(Ce).
