Seilles is a sub-municipality of the municipality of Andenne.

Note: Hatert et al. (2002) refer to the locality as both "Seilles" and "Tramaka". The "Rue de Tramaka" is to the northeast and east of Seilles.

An assemblage of two quarries, Boltry quarry on the west and Cimetière quarry on the east side. At the moment, only Boltry quarry is being operated.

The fluorites came from Boltry quarry while the Pb, Zn and Fe minerals came from the Cimetière quarry.

It is not allowed to enter the site, the quarries are guarded and regularly checked for trespassers.

Formula: PbSO4
Aragonite
Formula: CaCO3
Baryte
Formula: BaSO4
Beaverite-(Cu)
Formula: Pb(Fe3+2Cu)(SO4)2(OH)6
Beudantite
Formula: PbFe3+3(AsO4)(SO4)(OH)6
Brochantite
Formula: Cu4(SO4)(OH)6
Calcite
Formula: CaCO3
Habit: Massive and found as cleavages.
Colour: White to grey.
Fluorescence: Not fluorescent.
Description: In 1983, I visited the quarry during a MKA excursion and found a block a massive calcite. Nobody took some specimens because there where no crystals. As a beginning collector, I took what I could carry. Unfortunately, the calcite is not fluorescent and just kept one specimen and throw the rest away. I really regret this because I could have done a favour to other collectors. But when you'r young, you don't think that far.

Formula: Ca6Al2(SO4)3(OH)12 · 26H2O
Fluorite
Formula: CaF2
Habit: cubes
Colour: various
Description: "According to Leckebusch et al. (1974), the colours of the Seilles fluorite are caused by F-centres. They occupy an anionic vacancy and are composed either of two electrons and one foreign trivalent cation (blue and green fluorites), or of one electron, one foreign cation and two oxygens (violet fluorite). The foreign cation would be a rare earth. Trace elements in the Seilles fluorites are Ba, Sr, Y, Ce, La, and Mg (Smith & Hirst, 1974)." (Hatert et al., 2002)
