A series of pitchblende veins occurring at the contact between the Carboniferous Vallorcine granite and the pre-Variscan gneissic basement of the Aiguilles Rouges massif, close to the last hairpin bend of the road leading up to La Creusaz. Several of the veins were uncovered and trenched during the 1970s (Gisiger and Juillard surface workings) and an extensive exploration gallery (932 m in length) was excavated at an elevation of 1590 m.

Woodtli et al. (1987): "Scheelite-bearing amphibolite lenses are also known in the Creusaz adit, which was driven as part of a uranium exploration project."
