The locality is located about 1 km east of Lake Gjerdingen and consists of small outcrops/road cuts beside the dirt road from Lake Gjerdingen, close to Gjerdingselva (river), going to Stryken Station. It is a part of the "ekerite" (a soda granite) rich in zirconium, titanium, and fluorine, locally occurring as an "elpidite-ekerite" and very locally as a "janhaugite-elpidite-ekerite". GPS coordinates are approximate for the dirt road.
