The so-called Colle San Carlo anatase occurrence is located to the north of Colle San Carlo, in the municipal territory of Morgex, inside the dense conifer forest that characterises the left side of the lower Dora di Verney Valley. This occurrence is usually indicated by the mineral collectors as "Colle San Carlo, La Thuile" or just as "La Thuile", because it is generally reached from La Thuile, following the road SR 39 towards Colle San Carlo until the parking area next to the road which leads to the village of Petosan. The hike from the parking area to the mineral occurrence, via Petosan, takes about 50-60 minutes.
