Ancient mine of argentiferous Pb-Zn ores, intensively exploited at the end of the 18th century and in the period between the two world wars.
Sulphide mineralisation in hydrothermal quartz veins and some concordant lenses, up to 2 m thick, hosted within the Carboniferous phyllitic-arenaceous schists, overlying the well-known anthracite occurrences ("Zone Houillère" unit, Briançonnais terrane).
