Cu-Ag-Pb-Se deposit. The first mineral containing Se was first discovered and described from this locality (by Berzelius in 1817). Old maps use the spelling "Skrickerum", which is not in use today.
The Skrikerum mine is located in a mountainous forest area within a nature reserve in Valdemarsvik Municipality in Östergötland County, Sweden. The area has been protected since 2011 and is 115 hectares in size. The reserve includes hills, smaller wetlands and a few small lakes/ponds. The reserve consists of coniferous forest and swamp forest.

Note on samples labelled "berzelianite": A relatively widespread misconception among mineral collectors is that every black impregnation in calcite is berzelianite. In fact, these impregnations may consist of several selenide minerals (crookesite, umangite, eucairite etc.), and berzelianite might be among these, but not always.
