Habit: located in rotten looking feldspar
Description: originally described as lyndochite (Miller 1898, Ellsworth 1927) Euxenite crystals of about 3 to 5 cm can be found but they are found infrequently & they occur within a close proximity to each other, so if you locate one other are probably present nearby. Bob Downs looked at the Ellsworth (1927) analysis (July 23, 2022; per com. R. Gunter) and found a good match for Euxenite -(Y) with a crystal chemistry of: Y 0.577 Ce 0.095 Th 0.067 Ca 0.310 Fe0.090 Nb 1.115 Ta 0.062 Ti 0.734 Cation Sum 3.048 O 5.995 The older analyses can be used to quantify these niobates into species.

Habit: as small globs & massive masses rarely showing crystals structure.
Colour: commonly purple, & pink in very rare conditions
Fluorescence: purple, & green
Description: Most fluorite that is found here is the purple variety, it fluoresces purple under long & short wave light. A very rare variety of fluorite (Pink Fluorite) occurs here also but in very small amounts, it looses its pink color after short exposure to sunlight. It florescence green if no sunlight damage is present, if there is damage it will flouress light pink. The pink fluorite is also extremely phosphorescent.

Description: According to the Owner of the beryl pit, the sericite occurs as an alteration mineral of Muscovite, it is usually pale green and poorly crystalline. It is infrequently found at the beryl pit but is far more common at the nearby Rose Quartz Pit, which is thought to be part of the same geological formation.
