Sacrofano is a town and comune (municipality) situated to the north of Rome, between Regional road SR 2 Cassia and State road SS3 Flaminia.
The town is located at the foot of Monte Musino, along the rim of the Sacrofano Caldera.
Note: not all minerals loosely labelled in mineral collections (and on Mindat too) as from Sacrofano really come from the municipal territory of Sacrofano. In fact, the locality name Sacrofano is sometimes loosely used to indicate the Sacrofano Caldera.
