Kaňk (German: Gang) is a part of the town of Kutná Hora (Kuttenberg) in the Czech Republic. The place was a "Bergstadt" since 1621.

Mining activities in Kaňk started in the 14th century (later than in other Kutná Hora sites) due to the higher content of sulphides and lower content of Ag.

At the beginning of the 15th century, 15 large mines are documented in Kaňk, usually named after miners and owners - Tolpy, Šváby, Nyklasy, Šmitna, Fráty, Hoppy, Rabštejn, Kuntery, Šafary, Trmandl, Sedlák, Mladá Plimle, Nová šachta, and Koštofaly.

The prime time of mining was in the 16th century when more than 1,000 miners worked in Kaňk and approximately 1-1.5 ton(s) of Ag was produced per year from approx. 5,000 tons of ore.

The most important vein was the Main vein (Hlavní žíla) – oriented in NS direction, 1.4-1.7 km long with a width ranging from 1.5 to 5 m.

The principal minerals of the Main vein are quartz, pyrite, pyrrhotite, arsenopyrite, and sphalerite.

The phase alpha-AsS, trimorph of realgar and pararealgar, has been found at Kaňk.
