The Jacoletti Gold Mine is 100 metres south-west of Marvel Loch. It is now marked by a large round water filled open pit. The tailings pile is between the pit and the town. The pit was developed in the 1990's.

The Jacoletti Mine however existed from at least 1906, making it one of the older locations in the area. There were several named leases immediately surrounding the Jacoletti Mine, now probably swallowed up by the pit, or covered by the tailings heap.

There was criticism of the mine in 1907, stating no development had been done on the mine which was owned by a company. J. McFarlane is mine manager. The mine had a battery, being the only one in the district at the time which crushed for the public. More criticism arose in 1911, stating local prospectors and mine owners were in revolt, claiming the company had allowed the mill to fall into a state of disrepair. The Mines Minister was mobbed over the issue a few months later when he visited Marvel Loch.

Alex Fairfull and E. Winner has the mine on tribute 1914, then purchased it a year later. However later in the year, Tuckey, Peace and Bill Tippett control the mine, and rare crushings are noted from them until the early 1920's. C Jenkins with 'a mate' is operating the mine in 1928.

In 1935, the Jacoletti Mining and Battery Co. Ltd erects a 10 head battery for public crushing. This was subsidised by the government. No more information was found about the battery, and it is likely to have closed during World War Two, when mining reached a low ebb.
