Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Quartz vs. Asagiite
It's a classic vs a newbie as the most common named mineral in the crust Quartz is up against an exceedingly-rare sea foam-green mineral discovered just a few years ago Asagiite.

Tin deposit, consisting of Sn/As/Mo-mineralized quartz stockworks related to a two-mica adamellite.

The Logrosán tin deposit is an endogranitic (Cerro San Cristobal sector) to exogranitic (El Serranillo sector) quartz vein stockwork rich in Sn and related to the Logrosán granite (2.5x1 km), emplaced at 308 Ma ± 1 within the SGC. Two different units can be differentiated: the main unit, a medium to coarse two-mica, muscovite > biotite granite, and the evolved unit which consists on aplitic, microporphyritic and altered granitic lenses outcropping at the topographic heights. The main mineralisation occurs as cassiterite-rich quartz veins (20-50 cm thick) in both the endogranitic and the exogranitic sectors.
The paragenetic sequence in the veins is divided in three main stages: 1) oxide stage; 2) sulphide stage; and 3) supergene stage. The oxide stage is in turn divided in three substages: a) a first greisen stage in the SGC metapelites from el Serranillo sector with Nb-Ta-rich rutile. ; b) a second greisen stage at the endogranitic vein edges with muscovite and isolated cassiterite (II) crystals (0.18 wt.% Ta2O5 and Nb2O5) without any other oxides; and c) centimetric cassiterite crystals (III) in the core of the quartz veins (0.18 wt.% Ta2O5 and 0.2 wt.% Nb2O5).
