An east-west trending belt, about 120 km long and 10-15 km wide, along the Yarlong-Zangbo suture zone across Zhanang, Nêdong and Sangri counties of Shannan Prefecture. It contains more than 20 skarn and porphyry copper-gold deposits, some of them with associated silver, lead-zinc, molybdenum or tungsten ores, which are related to I-type granites that intruded into volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks. The combined copper resources are estimated at 200 million tons.
