Many of the localities reported for the Kokcha valley, which trends in a south-north direction through both of these districts, are rather obscure (some names are probably misspelled) and cannot be located with certainty, except that they must be located in either Khash or Kuran Wa Munjan District when all available information is taken into account. For instance, the geological map of Afghanistan indicates that the marbles, which form the matrix of many specimens, do not occur anywhere else in the Kokcha Valley.

Therefore, the two districts have been merged into a single entry.
The two districts are separated by some 60 km.
