The Bayan qagan dongshan deposit mainly includes two ore blocks, comprising 214 orebodies. Among these, 105 orebodies dominated by Pb, Zn, and Ag are confined by NEE-trending fault in the Ⅰ ore block and 109 orebodies dominated by Sn, Ag, Cu, and Zn are hosted by EW-trending fault in the III ore block. The ore bodies occur mainly as vein-type in the fractured zones of the Early Cretaceous granite porphyry and the Dashizhai Formation rocks. The NEE-striking No. Ⅰ-2 and No. Ⅰ-4, as well as the EW-striking No. III-1 to No. III-4 orebodies are the most important in regard to Sn, Ag, Pb, and Zn reserves. The NEE-striking orebody is represented by the No. Ⅰ-2. It is 939 m in length along strike, 657 m in depth, 5.70 m in thickness, and dip to the northeast, which contain 1.43 % Pb, 3.17 % Zn and 198.43 g/t Ag. The typical EW-striking orebody is No. III-1, which is 1015 m in length and dips to north with 906 m. The thickness of this orebody is 3.44 m, with an average grade of 0.48 % Sn, 244.12 g/t Ag, 2.77 % Zn and 0.576 % Cu.

Reserves: Sn 22.34 × 104 t, Zn 75.29 × 104 t, Pb 15.08 × 104 t, Ag 9,446 t, Cu 2.8 × 104 t

Colossal Sn polymetallic deposit located within the Sn-Ag mineralization belt in the southern Great Xing’an Range of northeastern China. Epithermal Ag mineralization, hydrothermal vein Sn polymetallic mineralization and Ag polymetallic mineralization were confirmed at shallow depths and intermediate depths, respectively. Through deep drilling of the deposit, thick porphyry Sn-Cu-Ag mineralization with typical veinlet-disseminated ores was discovered.
Sn 0.35 Mt, 0.75 %; Ag 727 Moz, 164 g/t; Pb + Zn 0.9 Mt, 4.8 %; Sb 0.2 Mt, 0.32 %; Cu 0.1 Mt, 0.2 %; Ga 3839 t, 51 g/t.

The deposit is geographically subdivided into Sections I, III, and IV. Sections I and IV are characterized by Ag-Zn-Pb mineralization, while Sn-Ag-Zn-Pb ± Cu mineralization dominates Section III. Four hydrothermal mineralization stages have been identified based on the crosscutting relationship of hydrothermal veins (Li, Z.Z., et al., 2020). Stage I is the pre-mineral tourmaline-quartz stage, where tourmaline-quartz ± muscovite ± fluorite ± topaz ± arsenopyrite ± cassiterite ± sphalerite mainly developed in veinlets (stockworks), or as cement in hydrothermal breccia. The related alteration is tourmaline-quartz-muscovite-fluorite. The second stage is the Sn mineralization stage, mainly composed of cassiterite distributed in veinlets (stockworks), hydrothermal veins, and hydrothermal breccia cement, and occasionally disseminated in surrounding rocks, and is usually associated with tourmaline-quartz ± fluorite alteration. The third stage, i.e., the Ag-Zn-Pb stage, is characterized by mostly flat and irregular veins of varying widths, or hydrothermal breccia cements. This stage can be divided into three substages: the early Zn-Pb substage dominated by sphalerite and pyrite; the middle Cu-Ag substage characterized by chalcopyrite-tetrahedrite-freibergite-stannite; and the late Sb substage dominated by jamesonite. Alteration mainly comprises quartz-illite-pyrite ± fluorite ± tourmaline. Stage IV is distinguished by a significant number of chalcedony veins and kaolinite associated with quartz-calcite kaolinite. Stages I and II veins are less developed in Section I and mainly found in Section III.
