Stratabound metamorphosed clastic rock type silver-gold deposit.

Silver ore bodies occur as veins designated as A7, A8, A1, A2, A11, A9, A5, A5-1, A4-2, A4-1, A6-2, A6-1and A10 (from top to bottom). These veins are hosted in carbonaceous sericite quartz schists, structurally controlled by NW-SE trending faults, and spatially associated with lamprophyric dykes. Most ore veins dip at 40° to 80°, with lengths ranging from 150 to 1900 m, widths of 1.7 to 10.6 m, and down plunge extensions of several hundred meters. Among these, the largest A1 orebody measures 1900 m in length, 1.7 to 10.6 m in width, and contains reserves > 1370 t Ag at an average grade of 300 g∕t.
Four hydrothermal stages have been recognized: Stage I) siderite + quartz assemblage, Stage II) quartz + pyrite assemblage, Stage III) polymetallic sulfides assemblage of galena + sphalerite + pyrite + silver minerals + quartz + carbonate, and Stage IV) calcite + quartz + sphalerite + native silver assemblage. Hydrothermal alteration is dominated by quartz, calcite, siderite and chlorite.

In Chinese, "Poshan" means "Broken Hill".
