A deformed NYF granite pegmatite.
This locality was one of the largest granite-pegmatites in the Drag district. Quarrying started here in 1910. There were several quarries.
Lens-shaped body, approximately 40 m wide and at least 200 m long. The body is parallel to the foliation of the host rock, Tysfjord granite gneiss.
The Jennyhaugen pegmatite comprises a quartz core, a microcline intermediate zone, and a 10-m-thick granitic wall zone. The quartz core transforms into an intermediate zone characterized by the emergence of ribbon-like quartz embedded in the massive microcline blocks.
