The Xinan deposit, a newly discovered porphyry Cu-Mo deposit in the Zijinshan orefield, Fujian Province, exhibits distinct alteration and porphyry mineralization stages, including the potassic, propylitic, and phyllic alteration stages. The phyllic stage is further divided into molybdenite, chalcopyrite, and pyrite sub-stages. As a new copper-molybdenum mineralization site currently under exploration, it hosts reserves of 20 kt of Cu at an average grade of 0.2 %. The outcropped strata within the Xinan deposit encompass the metamorphic clastic rocks of the Sinian Louziba Group to the north, and the volcanic rocks of the Early Cretaceous Shimaoshan Group to the south. Late dykes, including dacite porphyrite, diorite porphyrite, granite aplite, and granite porphyry, intersect the Middle Jurassic rocks and are sporadically distributed in the Xinan deposit.

Preliminary exploration has identified a copper resource of about 20,000 tons (with an average grade of approximately 0.2%), accompanied by molybdenum mineralization. The ore block exhibits an advanced argillic alteration zone in the shallow part, a sericitic alteration zone in the middle, and a propylitic alteration zone at depth. No potassic alteration zone has been identified so far.
