A series of skarn exposures. Two main collecting areas represent mineralogically distinct skarns. The Wollastonite Skarn area consists of major albite with diopside and lesser calcite, wollastonite, and titanite. Coarse calcite veins containing euhedral fluorapatite and wollastonite crosscut the skarn exposure. A nearby skarn, the Purple Diopside Mound, mainly consists of purple diopside and calcite with locally abundant scapolite and accessory titanite.
The Rose Road localities are privately owned and generally closed to collecting during deer and turkey hunting season.
