This is a zone of pale tan calcite noted for green diopside crystals, world-class wollastonite crystals, and white albite crystals exposed on the east side of the ridge facing the Sprint cellphone tower. Fee collecting site (2014). Important note: The Rose Road Localities are privately owned and generally closed to collecting during turkey hunting season.

Wollastonite skarn between the Grenville marble and a diopside-albite rock.

Related nearby sites include: Blue calcite is found along the road to the Sprint cellphone tower. See "Rose Road Float Boulders" locality (https://www.mindat.org/loc-257403.html). Along the same dirt access road (Rose Road) there is a distinctly different mineralized mound on the northwest side to the ridge and is informally known as the Purple Diopside Mound (PDM) (https://www.mindat.org/loc-257354.html).
