Numerous pegmatite lenses in granite and granitic gneiss, worked commercially for feldspars for the ceramic industry. (Minerals listed here are all from the Ishikawa District, but not necessarily from pegmatite parageneses.)
The "Ishikawa District" (or "Ishikawa pegmatite district") is a large area of granitic pegmatites, many of them enriched in REE and Y, scattered over Ishikawa town and surrounding areas of Ishikawa-gun and neighboring regions of the Abukuma plateau. As it is very roughly conterminous with Ishikawa-gun (county), most Ishikawa pegmatite district mineral will be found here.
*Not to be confused with similarly named Ishikawa Prefecture.
