Named for its relationship to sincosite.
The barium analogue of sincosite and airdite. Closely related to airdite, which is essentially its Sr analogue. Bariosincosite and airdite are related chemically and by polytypism to the triclinic 1A structures of sincosite and fulbrightite. All four minerals comprise the sincosite group. Structurally related to the meta-autunite group.
