This gold mine, located 3/4 mi west/southwest of the town of Alice near the head of the Fall River Road, included a large open pit plus underground and early placer workings. It operated from the 1880s until about 1938, but was completely filled in for environmental reclamation in 1988. ("Minerals of Colorado, updated & revised", p. 13, by Eckel, Edwin B., 1997)
