The studied body is a topaz rare-metal granite dike that cuts the gneiss–granites of the Uksinsky dome. The dike is continuous and has an average thickness of 5.5 cm. No significant contact-related alterations are evident in the host gneiss–granite. The dike consists predominantly of leucocratic minerals and is lighter in colour than the pinkish host gneissic granite. Its texture is massive to weakly banded. Banding is expressed by alternating leucocratic domains and thin, elongate melanocratic bands enriched in dark mica and oriented subparallel to the dike contacts. Sample AK260617-2 includes one such melanocratic domain.
