"(Coming from Auriac-l'Église). Northwest of Massiac take the D21, then the D55 until Auriac. Take the D9 to the left until Escrouset which is situated on the right. At the place called 'Fournial' near a café, there are mine dumps with arsenopyrite, baryte, cassiterite, chalcopyrite, dolomite, galena, marcasite, miargyrite, pyrargyrite, pyrite, pyrrhotite, quartz, tetrahedrite, and sphalerite." [Belot, 1978]

Remnants and dumps of an ancient lead-silver mine, located 2 km W of Alagnon and around 10 km W of Massiac.
French Lambert coordinates X=6565, Y=3285.
Mineralization age: 430 +/- 75 My.
