冷水坑银铅锌金矿, 贵溪市, 鹰潭市, 江西省, 中国
Silver-lead-zinc deposit with associated gold, iron-manganese and sub-economic copper ores. The mineralization styles include porphyry-type ore bodies, cryptoexplosive breccia pipes, vein-type ore bodies and stratabound ore bodies. The deposit covers a NE-trending stretch of land, about 1.5 km wide and 3 km long, which is sub-divided into seven ore blocks, from northeast to southwest: Xiaoyuan (小源), Yinkeng (银坑), Yinzhushan (银珠山), Yinglin (营林), Baojia (鲍家), Yinluling (银路岭), and Xiabao (下鲍).
This deposit contains approximately 8800 t of Pb (204.53 g/t), 0.91 Mt of Pb (2.11 wt%), 1.12 Mt of Zn (2.61 wt%), and 4300 t of Cd (0.01 wt%). The Baojia and Xiabao account for over 50 % of the metal reserves in the Lengshuikeng deposit. The Ag-Pb-Zn-Cd mineralization is primarily hosted in granite porphyry, crystal tuff, and minor in Fe-Mn carbonate rock. The mineralization hosted in the porphyry exists as lentoid, veined and disseminated texture at the Yinluling, Baojia, and Yinzhushan ore blocks. The porphyry-hosted ore is closely to the NNE F2 reserve fault and display spatial mineralization and alteration zonation. The central section of the granite porphyry shows high grades of Pb-Zn-Cd (Pb + Zn > 5 wt%) and weak Cu mineralization with weak alteration. The intermediate zone around the central section of granite porphyry features high grades of Ag (> 200 g/g) and low Pb-Zn-Cd, along with strong alteration. The outer zone of the granite porphyry, in contact with the volcano-sedimentary rock, is characterized by low grades of Ag-Pb-Zn-Cd mineralization (Pb + Zn < 2 wt%; Ag < 100 ppm;). In this outer zone, ore is mainly hosted in granite porphyry, and minor in the crystal tuff of Daguding Formation. Fe-Mn carbonate rock-hosted ore is featured by high grades of Ag-Pb-Zn-Cd mineralization (Pb + Zn > 5 wt%; Ag > 200 ppm) with minor alteration. The mineralization is divided into two stages. Stage 1 consists of chalcopyrite-pyrite-calcite vein, primarily hosted in the granite porphyry with minor occurrences in the crystal tuff. Stage 2 is characterized by galena-sphalerite(−acanthite)-pyrite and is widely distributed in granite porphyry, crystal tuff, and Fe-Mn carbonate rocks, which is the primary mineralization stage in the Lengshuikeng deposit.
China's largest silver deposit.
Note:
Various authors variously refer to this locality as a deposit or an ore field, and to the sub-localities as ore blocks or deposits.
