Named for its relation to graulichite-(Ce), and the predominance of the REE lanthanum over cerium. The root name is after Jean-Marie Graulich (4 May 1920, Liège, Belgium - 17 March 2001), mining engineer and honorary Director of the Geological Survey of Belgium.
The La analogue of graulichite-(Ce). The Fe3+ analogue of arsenoflorencite-(La). Unique combination of (species-defining) elements (at the upload time).
