First Recorded Occurrence of Avdeevite
General Appearance of First Recorded Material:
Sheaf-like aggregates, up to 4 cm in diameter (comprising hexagonal crystals, up to 1 x 0.1 cm), with epitactically intergrown cores of avdeevite and rims of beryl.
Place of Conservation of First Recorded Material:
Type material is deposited in the collections of the Fersman Mineralogical Museum, Russian Academy of Sciences, Leninskiy Prospekt 18-2, Moscow 119071, Russia, registration number 5279/1.
