Abandoned graphite quarries. Located NNE of Trandorf.
Belongs to the same graphite mining district as Amstall.

Note: Several sublocalities were distinguished by collectors (see sketch in Goldmann & Löffler, 2008):
"Trandorf NE 1" = western-most pit.
"Trandorf NE 2" = central open pit.
"Trandorf NE 3" = area NE of Trandorf NE 2, at which occur quartz with minor albite, massive calcite, tremolite and subordinate alunite. No graphite occurs here.

Known for the occurrence of unusual zeolites.

Description: 1) "Pumpellyite" was erroneously assigned to Trandorf by Brandstätter (1987). However, it occurs in the areas "Korundgraben" and "Weinberg Mitte". 2) Re-interpretation of the analysis in Brandstätter (1987) suggests that the sample is possibly Al-dominant, even if taking into account the dominant-constituent rule.
