Ancient tungsten mine (W-Sn-Cu mineralisation: wolframite, cassiterite, stannite, chalcopyrite). The galleries were driven northwards in quartz porphyry and silicified micaschists, to develop the orebodies near Les Bois Menus and Les Pierres Cassées. The mineralisation is related to the granite intrusions further north at Échassières (http://www.mindat.org/loc-42604.html).
Located 500 m N of Les Chaillats (in Servant community) and about 3 km south of the La Bosse crossing.

Formerly mined by the Compagnie Minière des Montmins (see also Montmins mine).
