The Cherokee Basin is a medium Paleozoic sag basin in southeastern Kansas, southwestern Missouri, and northeastern Oklahoma. It is bordered on the north by the Bourbon Arch, on the east by the Ozark Uplift, on the south by the Seminole Arch, and on the west by closing structural contours coming off of the Nemaha Ridge.
